The boring knitty gritty about me is that I am a qualified hair and
makeup artist having previously studied hair and makeup artistry
before attending AFDA. I actually attended AFDA with the
intentions of majoring in Live Performance and following a career in
Drama, but the pre-production and on-set life completely
captivated me.
I’ve been privileged to work on a few sets since attending AFDA,
the highlights being one of 5 MUAS for a BET Africa set in 2019,
and working on two films that were both nominated for Simon
Sabela’s, one of which won best actress. My first real taste of an
industry set was in 2018 on the set of 3AM with SAFTA winning
makeup artist Ronwyn Lee Jarret, I would say this was the set that truly solidified my passion for the film industry. When I’m not creating characters or painting faces you can find me binge watching Netflix and drinking unhealthy amounts of tea.
